LocationSeattle is the largest city in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It offers great living and real estate opportunities. It is located in the state of Washington between the Puget Sound, an inlet of the Pacific Ocean, and Lake Washington, nearly 108 miles (174 km) south of the US-Canadian border. Seattle is the hub for the Greater Puget Sound Region and has a long history rich in Native American culture, shipping and lumber industries and Asian influences.
MOUNTAINSThe official nickname for Seattle is the Emerald City, alluding to the lush evergreen trees in the surrounding area. Seattle is also a city of amazing views, it is surrounded on three sides by water and built on seven hills. With the dormant volcano Mt Rainier in our backyard and the Olympic Mountain Range in the west and the Cascades to our East it is hard work not to find a scenic view.
PEOPLESeattle is populated with people who want it all, sitting with a latte on a rainy afternoon or sipping a micro brew watching the sun set over the water and mountains. Seattle has a reputation for heavy coffee consumption, there are several recognizable big hitters that were founded here as well as many successful independent espresso roasters and cafes. After all a warm drink in your hand helps to perk you up on a wet day. People who live here take advantage of the mild climate to sail, ski, bike, camp, or hike throughout most of the year

SITESThe Space needle is the most recognizable landmark of Seattle, and the surrounding area around the Needle houses attractions such as The Experience Music Project, and many local events through out the year. The famous Pike Place market, home of the throwing fish mongers, is a feast for the eyes year round. The campus of The University of Washington built right against the waters of Lake Washington is buzzing with life Washington State ferries crisscross the Puget Sound carrying passengers out to the islands and the Kitsap Peninsula to work home or just a day playing at the beach.
SPORTSThe city of Seattle is well represented in the professional sports arena as well. The NFL Seattle Seahawks, the NBA Seattle Supersonics, the WNBA Seattle Storm, and the Major League Seattle Mariners keep the fans riled up. Other Local teams include the Seattle thunderbirds in minor league hockey, and the Seattle Sounders in minor league soccer.
MUSICThe music scene in Seattle never disappoints, whether you are looking for a black tie opera performance or a live local up and coming band, it's all here. There is the 5th Avenue Theater, Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. CLIMATEOk we admit it, it does rain in Seattle, however our reputation for liquid sunshine is not completely accurate. Between 7 or 8 months of the year it is gray and cloudy, but the average rainfall (34.3 inches) is much less than most of the cities on the Eastern Seaboard. For those days when the Sun shines through there is no other place we Seattlites would rather be. Surrounded by the green lush vegetation with all that water to play in and the temputure in the 80's. When the sun comes out so do the people of Seattle to enjoy to water, mountains and beautiful parks of the area
